I just noticed that on my last post I said second grade!
I am losing my Canadian words.
I should have said, "Logan is in grade two."
It is disturbing that I am slowly assimilating.
I try to keep saying things like, KRAFT DINNER
ICING SUGAR, ICHIBAN, CHOCOLATE BAR,
TOQUE, SQUARES, CINNAMON BUN,
SOOTHER, and of course EH, but BINKY,
TREATS,POWDERED SUGAR, CANDY BAR,
BEANIE, RAMEN NOODLES,
MACARONI & CHEESE, and CINNAMON ROLL
accidentally come out. And for all of my American
friends, I still say EH because you have no good
substitute for it. I actually still say words both ways
and am starting to forget which is which!
Oh well, at least I like the weather here.

This is a sensitive subject in my family.
When I was 2 yrs old my mom loved to do my long blonde hair.
I was her 4th kid, first girl and so she had waited a long time.
Too bad my poor unfortunate brother Max decided to cut it all off!
Needless to say, she was VERY angry, and actually
sent him to bed without any supper!!!!!! It was so tramatic that
the other boys remember sneaking him crackers under the door.
Growing up hearing that story made me worried
that my boys might do the same thing.
I never thought Layla would do this to herself.
She pulled her curler out and all the hair came with it!
So this summer we had Layla pull her hair out,
and then Jameson decided to cut his bangs off.
When Logan did this a few years ago we cut his
hair into a Mohawk, so to follow tradition Jay
had it done to him too! We only made him
keep it for a few minutes as a punishment and
deterrent, so hopefully he won't do it again.
It worked for Logan anyway.
